O oxig\u00e9nio gasoso evoluiu na placa positiva das c\u00e9lulas VR facilmente se deslocam para a placa negativa e oxidam o chumbo, devido aos coeficientes de difus\u00e3o mais elevados num meio gasoso. Esta \u00e9 uma reac\u00e7\u00e3o r\u00e1pida nas c\u00e9lulas VR. Tal movimento de gases n\u00e3o \u00e9 poss\u00edvel em c\u00e9lulas inundadas devido aos menores coeficientes de difus\u00e3o. Condi\u00e7\u00f5es semelhantes \u00e0s c\u00e9lulas inundadas ocorrer\u00e3o em c\u00e9lulas VR tamb\u00e9m se o AGM estiver totalmente saturado e a rea\u00e7\u00e3o de recombina\u00e7\u00e3o de oxig\u00eanio come\u00e7ar\u00e1 somente quando a condi\u00e7\u00e3o de eletr\u00f3litos famintos come\u00e7ar a se desenvolver devido \u00e0 eletr\u00f3lise da \u00e1gua e perda de alguma \u00e1gua.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f4cc929 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f4cc929\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Em uma c\u00e9lula regulada por v\u00e1lvula, a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o do hidrog\u00eanio \u00e9 inibida pela forma\u00e7\u00e3o de sulfato de chumbo durante a carga. Este sulfato de chumbo leva o potencial da placa negativa a valores mais positivos para que a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o do hidrog\u00eanio seja muito reduzida. Para compensar o volume reduzido do electr\u00f3lito, \u00e9 utilizado \u00e1cido de densidade mais elevada nas baterias VR. Este aspecto desempenha o papel mais importante no aumento da vida \u00fatil das baterias. A compress\u00e3o da parede do contentor separador de placas \u00e9 parte integrante do design. Isto assegura uma boa difus\u00e3o electrol\u00edtica entre as placas e o separador.
