Train Lighting batteries: The coach battery system for train lighting is designed to meet the harsh environments where dust and heat are generated as the train is speeding along the tracks facing the cold and the heat from different parts across India. Microtex coach battery is available for Train Lighting in Tubular Gel VRLA Battery & AGM VRLA cells 110v 120Ah.
For Train Lighting & Air-conditioning in railways, Microtex offers 11-volt 1100-ampere maintenance-free 1100Ah Valve Regulated Lead Acid Batteries in steel modules. Battery boxes for AC coaches are placed under the undercarriage. AC 3 tier coach batteries have a capacity of 1100Ah.
Diesel locomotive batteries are designed for instant-cranking currents, providing maximum power for instantaneous engine start-up, combined with deep-discharge capability. They require very little water to top up since they are made with very low antimony alloys. It is a great benefit to railway locomotives.

The AC electric locomotive battery is designed to meet the tough environments inside the electric locomotive. It should be designed to withstand the vibrations & heat in the battery box of the locomotive. The electric locomotive uses a 110v 70Ah battery bank & Electric Multiple Units require 110v 90Ah battery bank systems.

Suitable for TRD applications for maintenance & operation of overhead equipment & power supply installations with reliable battery backup for control centres.
End on Generation (EOG) is the system used on fully air-conditioned Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains. The system comprises two power cars per train. Each power car has two DG sets and each DG set is rated at 300 kW. These are mounted inside the power car or the entire power car coach which is dedicated to these power plants. The power generated by these DG sets is utilized for the electrical loads of the train.
